Of all the pains and sickness a child goes through, I believe that teething is the worse one of them all. The reason why is because you really can’t do anything about it. Yes, you can give medicine for it but it is extremely difficult to deal with the pain and uncertainty they are feeling inside their mouths.
With an upset tummy you can hold Carly until she feels better or until she throws up all over your back (been there a couple of times).
When Carly falls down, you can hold her and kiss her forehead until she feels better.
With teething, holding Miss Carly does not seem to stop the crying. She crys and looks at you with sad eyes wondering why you can’t make the pain stop.
In her eyes, you are supper parents and can take away all her other aches and pains so why can’t you take away this pain.
Trust me Miss Carly, if we could take away the pain we would in a heartbeat.
I will take barf down the back, a blowout diaper, and bump here or there over teething any day.
It is so hard to see our children in any pain and the teething one is the most difficult because you just can explain it or make it go away.
